Branimir Maksimovic
Born 1993, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting at Academy of Fine Arts in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2016. I completed Master of Fine Arts in 2018 also at Academy of Fine Arts Banja Luka. My work has been seen in many solo and group exhibitions for which I received several awards and recognition.
I have been tattooing since 2019. I am a self-taught tattoo artist. I have improved my experience by working with many colleagues and numerous educations in several countries.
Specialized in the field of black and gray realism, micro-realism and fine-line tattoos.
I ran my own tattoo studio, where I gained valuable experience in business menagement, client communication, and industry regulations. I handled everything from customer relations and scheduling to financial management and legal compliance. This experience taught me how to effectively run a business, navigate legal requirements, and build strong relationships with clients.
I organized and led my own courses where I educated young artists, sharing the knowledge I had gained over the years and guiding them into the tattoo and eyebrow business.
I take inspiration from the traditional figurative painting and in my work I am presenting a various condition of portrayed person (mainly female) with organic elements or an unique surealistic ideas for my tattoo designs or oil painting technique, by choosing carefully the specific visual and technical properties and other building blocks of the work so as to correspond to the very theme.
It is in this disturbing contrast between form and content, that has been made in both media and in substance, my artistic work positions me as a pioneer of a fresh artistic practice through the revival of the traditional approach and the primary use of realistic tattooing and painting as an equal modern media.
My work is mostly figurative and contemporary reflection and interpretation of human emotions. I participated in several tattoo expos and art colonies in B&H and abroad. Commended and awarded many times for numerous works of tattooing and painting.
